It Amazes Me How...

When I lived in Nashville and worked my ass off for years that I would have to literally kill myself dancing the house down just to try to make decent tips. Our crowds have been kinda up and down lately especially on Wednesdays and Sundays but my point being- because of the storm on Sunday there was about 10-15 people in the whole bar. I made good tips on Sunday with only about 6-10 of those people watching the show. And again tonight about 30 people or so and still made money. I guess what I'm trying to say Birmingham is that YOU amaze me. Whether I walk the house down, dance or do a ballad you always seem to appreciate me and whatever it is I bring to the stage that night. No, I can't get naked, no I'm not going to do some fucking ghetto song everytime I go out there, that's not my style, and no I'm not going to play clique games with you either. I'm glad that the people here have taken time to get to know the person behind the mask and can appreciate the true art of female illusion in its purest form. No, I don't have breasts, no, I'm not the skinniest bitch on the block and no, I'm not even the prettiest. But, I am this. I'm a good entertainer, I know that and I have put years of blood, sweat, tears and oh yes lots of money into trying to make a name for myself and female impersonation my career. I can be honest with myself when I say i do harbor some resentment and bitterness toward that "city" due to the fact that I feel I was never given the respect that I deserved. I'm not saying that I'm any better than anyone else but i know several that I consider my equals. There are so many girls still there struggling to make it that deserve better but yall better wake up because strange things are and have been abrew in that "city for quite some time! You don't know what you got 'til its gone. I'm starting to ramble?! Don't get me wrong, I have friends who are transies some of them are good entertainers and in my opinion some of them are not. Some of us are dancers, some are not and so on and so on. I guess the point I'm trying to make is DAMN it feels good to be appreciated! For some reason this was just heavy on my mind tonight and I had to get it off my chest, so there!! To all of my House of the Orient Sisters, I love and admire all of you. Each of you inspire me in different ways. To my B'Ham sisters, my new family, you've all opened your arms and your hearts to me since day one and that's something I'll never forget. And to whoever wants to read this and think I'm being catty then get over it. This is my journal, my thoughts and my feelings. If you don't like it, don't like me, then don't fucking read it!
